I changed the name of this image from Glass Reflections to Sunset Kiss, after someone pointed out the glass floats like 2 people kissing.
About this image, I started out earlier that day posing the floats near the in coming water on the sand. Quickly I found out I could not take the photo and protect them from being washed out by the water. So I thought if I found a nice rock and shot with water in background it should work. The rock I came across was perfect. I started with 3 different floats moving them 1 to 3 then to 2 near and far from each other. Once I saw this combination I felt it was just was I wanted.
Then since I love sunset I thought if I wait till then I could capture the setting sun reflecting thru the float. But I needed to wait about 3-4 hours for that to start, well this was time spent well. In the process I learned to slow down really think about composition and creating a meaningful image.
