I recently had the pleasure of meeting a Local Photographer, Micah Lynn. Please check out his captures.
Born and raised in the foothills of Appalachia Kentucky!
Having grown up in small-town America, I became restless and eager to explore the outside world. The world I always read about in National Geographic and adventure travel magazines. My first taste of those worlds came in the form of a backpacking trip through Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina – I was hooked! As my passions grew, I began to seek out more and more adventures, but coming home was always difficult for me. As I never had the words to truly portray my experiences or the raw beauty that I had witnessed. Enter my first camera, a Sony point and shoot! For me, photography began as an attempt to bridge that gap – to offer family and friends a glimpse into my experiences and passions. A glimpse into the wild, open-spaces that I most feel at home.
Nowadays, along with my wife and dog, my camera tags along everywhere we go. And being on the rugged Oregon Coast – wild, open-spaces are easy to come by. Our travels and adventures have led us to forge a more meaningful and intentional existence, prioritizing experiences over stuff; in which inspiration plays a vital role. We are beyond fortunate and blessed to live in a world full of such galvanizing beauty!
I hope my photography inspires!
